About the Job
Position Summary:
The Beverage Cart Attendant is responsible for providing friendly, professional food and beverage service to members and guests throughout the golf course. This position ensures that beverages, snacks, and other approved menu items are readily available while maintaining excellent customer service, proper sanitation, and accurate cash handling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Member and Guest Service:
    • Provide courteous, professional, and personalized service to all members and guests.
    • Operate the beverage cart throughout the golf course according to established service routes and schedules.
    • Anticipate member needs and maintain a welcoming, service-oriented attitude.
    • Answer questions regarding available beverages, snacks, and menu offerings.
    • Handle member requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  2. Food and Beverage Operations:
    • Prepare the beverage cart before each shift with appropriate beverages, snacks, ice, cups, and supplies.
    • Maintain proper product presentation, organization, and stocking levels throughout the shift.
    • Monitor inventory and communicate replenishment needs to management.
    • Ensure all products are served according to club standards and applicable food safety guidelines.
    • Follow all club policies regarding responsible alcohol service and age verification.
  3. Sales and Cash Handling:
    • Process member charges, credit card payments, and other approved transactions accurately.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales and transactions.
    • Follow club procedures for member account charges, receipts, and end-of-shift reconciliation.
    • Promote available products and specials to increase sales while maintaining excellent service.
  4. Cart Maintenance and Safety:
    • Keep the beverage cart clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
    • Perform daily opening and closing inspections of the cart and equipment.
    • Operate the cart safely and responsibly, following golf course traffic rules and club procedures.
    • Secure products, cash, equipment, and supplies when the cart is unattended.
    • Report equipment issues, damage, hazards, or maintenance needs to management.
  5. Sanitation and Compliance:
    • Maintain proper food handling, temperature control, and sanitation standards.
    • Keep all storage areas and beverage equipment clean and sanitary.
    • Follow applicable health regulations and club policies.
    • Maintain required alcohol service certifications and comply with all applicable alcohol laws.
    • Complete assigned cleaning, stocking, and closing duties.
  6. Teamwork and Communication:
    • Communicate regularly with the Food & Beverage department and Golf Operations team.
    • Coordinate with the clubhouse, halfway house, and kitchen regarding inventory and member requests.
    • Assist with special golf events, tournaments, outings, and club activities as assigned.
    • Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Previous food and beverage or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license if required by club policy.
  • Required alcohol service certification, where applicable.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and operate a beverage cart for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry beverage cases, ice, and supplies within club guidelines.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak golf-season hours.

  • Keeps the beverage cart clean, stocked, and operational.
